February 2023 Library Corner

This month's offerings are stories of love, culture, and then well, fluff. And there is nothing wrong with a little fluff every know and then. Sometimes we just need it. Remember these books and more are available to you at your local branch of the Howard County Library System.

Ties That Tether by Jane Igharo
This book is a beautiful exploration of culture, family, and romance. It addresses that old conflict between choosing a love for you and the love that your family desires. As an immigrant, I understood the need to preserve heritage and yet adapt to a new world. When a Nigerian woman falls for a man she knows will break her mother’s heart, she must choose between love and her family.
