The book is like a warm hug, easing me out of the everyday struggles and worries we all experience and into this universe in which everything is different. There is still much that is familiar that I can relate to the characters and their feelings.

Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore
The phrase New Year, New You has a whole differentmeaning for Oona. As the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, our protagonist is transported to a random year of her life where she is forced to reckon with her past, present, and future selves. This hearwarming lite-sci-fi book is sure to stick with you.

Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
This book spills over with both deep knowledge of, and an intense love for, the natural world.
Kimmerer is a botanist and member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation; her writing explores how we engage with plants, animals and ecosystems, and how we can acknowledgment and celebrate our relationship with nature. I recommend the audiobook so you can hear the lyrical prose in the author's own voice, and listen to it while you walk through nature.
