Jewish Voices For Inclusion: Celebrating Our Dignified Differences

Join us on September 7th at the Ellicott City 50+ Center from 5:30-7:00 PM for an impactful evening of Jewish Voices For Inclusion: Celebrating Our Dignified Differences. This event is part of Kennedy Krieger's Faith and Disability Collaborative, in partnership with Kennedy Kreiger, Chabad of Ellicott City, Friendship Circle Howard County, Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council, Howard County Autism Society, and Howard County Office on Aging and Independence.

The highlight of the evening will be an enlightening panel discussion featuring esteemed speakers: Including local Howard County Jewish faith leaders Rabbi Yanky Baron, Rabbi Craig Axler, Rabbi Yocheved Hielegman, Disability Advocate Dr. Mirian Ofonedu, and Self Advocate Matthew Plantz. Together, they will delve into the crucial topic of making Jewish faith spaces more inclusive, accommodating, and welcoming to the disability community, just in time before the upcoming High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Kosher Dinner and refreshments with vegan options will be available before the main program at 5:30. An ASL interpreter will be present throughout the panel discussion. Live broadcast and captioning are provided online. Transportation upon request.

Every attempt will be made to make additional accommodations upon request. Email Rabbi Yanky Baron: [email protected], or call 443-676-3837. All submissions should be made before August 24th, 2023.

To sponsor the event, please call Rabbi Yanky Baron at 443-676-3837 or Email: [email protected].
