HCC Faculty Concert: M is for Motus

The Latin word motus means emotion, movement, gesture, and disturbance – words that can be used describe the characteristics of the four pieces featured in this concert. Written within the span of 80 years by composers of different nationalities (Nikolai Myaskovsky - Russian, Bohuslav Martinu - Czech, Jules Massenet - French, and Robert Muczynski - American), these four chamber pieces share qualities and emotions in unique ways. Please come and join us on this fascinating journey. This concert is part of cellist Katy I-Hsuan Chiang's Letter Series Concert, featuring the letter M.

Featuring:

Kyle Coughlin, Clarinet

Katy I-Hsuan Chiang, Cello

Eun Suk Cha, Piano
